Traditionally and culturally, Bharat has always been a nation of festivals and festivities. True to this rich tradition, Lokmanthan 2024, held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, was nothing short of a grand festival. It was an exhilarating experience, a joyful celebration of Bharat’s colourful and rich traditions. Such a joyful celebratory feeling can only be experienced when people join together as one large family and execute the responsibilities assigned to each individual in time, with love and care. This can neither be achieved by authoritative delegation, nor by people who seek validation or gratification for the diligence shown. It is possible only when everyone involved feels the group is one large family, draws inspiration from others whil simultaneously inspiring others. This belief, in oneself and the group, will create magic and bring about a festive mood.
Such an environment brings out the best in every individual and promotes healthy competition and the desire to deliver his/her best. Such an exhilarating environment may make some feel overwhelmed with emotions and distract them from the tasks they are assigned. The bonding within the group, the sense of belonging and peer guidance within the group create a sense of one large happy family. Inviting friends and relatives or visiting relatives and friends for celebrations during festivals is a rich tradition of Bharat. During these celebrations, children are engaged in games and sports. Guests are treated to great traditional food. Music and dance are also a part of these festivities. Sometimes, these festivities bring whole villages together and promote amity.

These traditions enrich our culture and must be passed on to future generations. A culturally rich society is a strong society. A strong society encourages logical thinking and promotes scientific thought. Lokmanthan 2024 has created such a festive and joyous atmosphere. The ecstatic expression of joy demonstrated by everyone who attended the event proves that it was a memorable experience for them. It would not be hyperbole to say that every member involved in organising this grand event was driven by a passionate desire to make it a grand success. Each one of them deserves rich accolades.
